Cultural Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome on arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel in Colombo. In the afternoon Colombo city tour. Dinner and overnight stay in Colombo at Galadari Hotel.
Day 2
After breakfast transfer to Dambulla. En route visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawela. Check in to the hotel in Dambulla. Afternoon visit the Dambulla Rock Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in Dambulla at Amaya Lake Hotel.
Day 3
After breakfast transfer to Anuradhapura. Visit the Anuradhapura ancient city highlights and Mihintale. Dinner and overnight stay in Anuradhapura at Palm Garden Village Hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast transfer to Polonnaruwa. Visit the Polonnaruwa ancient city highlights and jeep safari in Minneriya National park. Dinner and overnight stay in Polonnaruwa at Deer Park Hotel.
Day 5
After breakfast transfer to Kandy. En route climb the Sigiriya rock fortress. Thereafter proceed to Kandy. En route visit a spice garden in Matale. Check in to the hotel in Kandy. Visit the evening ceremony at the Temple of Tooth Relic and a cultural dance show. Late dinner and overnight stay in Kandy at Amaya Hills Hotel or Randholee Resort & Spa.
Day 6
After breakfast transfer to beach stay hotel or airport. En route visits to gem museum, batik factory and the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya. On completions proceed to the selected beach stay hotel or airport for departure flight.
Direct transfer from Kandy to airport will take approximately 3 1/2 hours.
This tour includes:
- Accommodation on half board basis;
- All transfers mentioned in the itinerary;
- All excursions and entrance fees mentioned in the itinerary;
- All local taxes;
- Service of an English speaking driver/guide.
Please note:
- Depending on the time and weather, excursions may be conducted on other days than mentioned in the program;
- Prices mentioned are per person based on sharing a double room;
- Lunch, drinks and personal expenses are not included;
- Professional guides (Russian / German / Italian / French speaking) can be provided on extra cost;
- Hotels will be provided only on availability at the time of confirmation;
- If hotels mentioned in the itinerary are not available at the time of confirmation similar hotels will be provided from the same area after a prior notification.
